Opportunity

Project Summary

A former employer and friend of mine reached out after I graduated College to collaborate in her new business efforts. She was founding a non-profit no-kill animal sanctuary and needed help with the brand and business development. I have always gravitated toward startups and entrepreneurship opportunities, so this was a natural fit, plus we were friends and went way back. I had the opportunity to conceptualize and create the logo and brand, a sophisticated website and launch a high-impact campaign during the red ribbon company unveiling of Tenderheart Animal Rescue. During one of the fundraising campaigns we created t-shirts for both raising capital and volunteer efforts for Tenderheart Animal Rescue & Sanctuary. The leftover inventory of shirts was later repurposed for marketing swag giveaway.

Approach

I worked closely with the owner and volunteer board of directors to establish a solid brand identity and coordinating assets including developing the website and launching a social media marketing campaign to advertise and grow the company. Spearheading all creative aspects and aiding in business development I helped define the go-to-market strategy and marketing campaign by curating content and driving social media engagement while managing the online presences. We extended the marketing collateral into the shirt designs.

Solution

We successfully printed a batch of shirts used for the aforementioned purposes and repurposed for the marketing campaign. The shirt design was widely popular and aided in several promotional events. I still have mine to this day.

Impact

The successful branding and market campaign launch set the non-profit up for many years of success before the owner retired and moved while keeping two of the last dogs. We were able to establish their presence and brand in the local and surrounding communities, host donation drives and donation feeds while ultimately growing the non-profit exponentially the first few years. These efforts contributed to the re-adoption of many abandoned animals who still have forever homes to this day.
